The Euro-Arab Chairs Programme aims to promote teaching and research exchanges between university professors, scientists, researchers and intellectuals from the MENA countries – countries of North Africa and the Middle East.
– This Programme was launched by the Euro-Arab Foundation in 2008 with the Euro-Arab Chairs in: Social Sciences and Governance; Art and Culture; Environment and Renewable Energies.
– In 2010, the Chair in Food Technologies was added.
– In 2014 we have three more Chairs: International Chair of Amazigh Culture; Chair of Islamic Civilisation and Renewal of Religious Thought and ISESCO Chair of Cultural Diversity and International Solidarity.
– In 2018, the Euro-Arab Chair in Gender Studies was signed.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the Euro-Arab Chairs is to become an interdisciplinary, critical, reflective and open space that contributes to the analysis of various topics in different scientific fields.
Other objectives of the Chairs are:
– To facilitate the creation of a network of high-level, internationally recognised researchers; to develop research, training, information, awareness-raising and documentation activities.
– To maintain a relationship of complementarity and collaboration with other universities, institutions and organisations.
– To promote two-way knowledge transfer between northern and southern countries.
– To participate in publication and dissemination initiatives on topics within the scope of the work of the Chairs.
