The third training course offered by the Euro-Arab Foundation in Saudi Arabia was inaugurated this morning in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the Diploma in Communication for Development, a training plan developed in collaboration with its Saudi partner, the Princess Alanood Foundation.
With the ‘Communication for Development’ course, the Euro-Arab Foundation, together with its Saudi partner, the Princess Alanood Foundation, offers four Euro-Arab specialisation diplomas for students from the Gulf countries.
The Euro-Arab Diploma in ‘Management of Non-Profit Organisations’ was the first training course that took place ten years ago. It was followed by the Diploma in ‘Endowment Management (Waqf)’, which will be in its fifth edition this year, and the Diploma in ‘Social and Solidarity Economy’, inaugurated last year.
The inauguration, held at the headquarters of the Princess Alanood Foundation in Riyadh, has been carried out by the Secretary General of this Foundation, Yousef Alhuzaim, and the Director of Cooperation of the Euro-Arab Foundation, Hassan Laaguir.
Communication for Development
The Diploma, given to a total of 23 students and coordinated by the Spanish journalist Javier Diaz Muriana, is a training course that provides added value for the work of professionals in the Third Sector in the countries of the Gulf area, which includes non-profit organisations, social and solidarity economy entities and public bodies that deal with social issues.
Diploma in Communication for Development is offered in six modules from 26 January to 15 June, five of which are taught in Riyadh and the sixth and final module is held in Granada, where the Diploma internships will take place and the students will present their final project.
The main objective of this training, given by Spanish and Saudi journalism and communication professionals, is to enhance the knowledge and professional skills of managers and communication managers working in the Third Sector. Through professional training, this diploma combines face-to-face and virtual training.
